Chris Tuttell

christuttell@ncslma.org

I’m thrilled to step into the role of NCSLMA Lead Regional Director! My journey in education began in 2000 as an elementary school teacher. In 2012, I earned my MLS from North Carolina Central University and in 2016 I completed coursework for Instructional Technology at East Carolina University and proudly achieved National Board Certification as a librarian in 2021. Since 2007, I’ve been part of the Wake County Public School System and currently have the joy of working as the librarian at South Garner High School. I’m excited to bring my love for literacy, technology, and collaboration to this leadership role and look forward to connecting with others to support and inspire the library community!

  • to serve as a communications channel between the NCSLMA Executive Board and the membership of that region
  • to share information with the board on the state of affairs in that region
  • to provide opportunities for members to have input into programs and activities on regional and state levels
  • to coordinate regional activities that promote professional development, membership growth, and opportunities for professional networking.
